Copywriter

Job Description

Takashima USA is currently looking for a bilingual (Japanese) Copy Writer. The primary responsibility of the Copy Writer is to compose advertising copy (both in English and in Japanese) that translates marketing strategies into creative, customer friendly communication. The Copy Writer will provide copy for all advertising and communications materials for the company, including those for print, broadcast, Internet, social media and public relations materials. He/she will work from source materials that may be in either English or Japanese;collaborate with the marketing staff to determine length and style of copy; gather information on company products and services; research targeted customers; and edit/proofread the final draft to ensure accuracy and effective execution of marketing objectives.

Required Skills

Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English. Selected candidate must be a self-starter, team player and highly motivated. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to multitask is a must. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications: MS Word, Power Point, and Outlook.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications, English, Journalism or related field.
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal in Japanese and English.
  • Flexibility to work well independently, as well as in a team setting.
  • Strong creative copywriting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a command of spelling, grammar, and punctuation as well as editing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multitask and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Candidates should submit 3 product-oriented writing samples together with their resume
